Region IV AAA provides state and federal funding for certain community-based services through an open and competitive proposal process every three years.

Non-profit organizations, private for-profit organizations, or units of general purpose government or agencies are eligible to respond.  All potential contractors must be able to comply with the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency (AASA) Operating Standard for Service Programs and serve the Michigan counties of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.

AASA Service Standards

Three-year contracts are awarded to selected organizations.  Funding can vary from year to year based on availablity of state and federal dollars.  Currently Region IV AAA has contracts for:

  • Adult Day Care
  • Caregiver Education, Support & Training (Powerful Tools for Caregivers)
  • Creating Confident Caregivers
  • Elder Abuse Prevention Education
  • Legal Assistance
  • Long-Term Care Ombudsman
  • Transportation
  • Congregate and Home Delivered Meals
