POSITION:             Community Services Director

DESCRIPTION:

Works to advance and expand service capability of the corporation to identify and fill community needs. Responsible for community planning, needs analysis and service development, leading a multi-year planning process and annual implementation plan in accordance with identified needs. Coordinates and develops service and administrative programming in conjunction with other members of the Management Team. Assists in administrative maintenance of company operations as a member of AAA Management Team. Develops and manages metrics across community service programs to assure planned impact and advance quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees area plan activities, including community needs assessment, development and implementation of planning documents, in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Monitors service delivery trends to identify needed program and service development activities.
  • Monitors and coordinates, in consultation with other staff directly involved in provider monitoring roles, vendor relation activities including monitoring, quality assessment, trend analysis and client satisfaction related to HCBS.
  • Manages internal multi-disciplinary team committee functions to assure consistency in managing issues with subcontractors and/or vendors.
  • Works with Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Manager on development, monitoring and refinement of community service initiatives and corresponding metrics.
  • Provides oversight and supervision of Community Services including Access & Information Services, Marketing and Campus for Creative Aging
  • Serves as AAA representative on varied local and state level entities as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in business, administration or human services-related field or Bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to a Master’s degree. Excellent computer, data analysis, and communication skills, as well as the ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple tasks independently and as a team member, is essential.

Our primary service area includes Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren counties.
