Senior Employment & Training

Do you need job training and/or employment assistance?

Area Agency on Aging provides both job training and employment assistance for seniors through the Senior Community Service Employment Program, as well as technology training through our Computer Learning Center and Campus for Creative Aging.

Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP)

We believe that older workers provide a valuable resource to the needs of a 21st century workforce.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), also called the Title V Program, provides high quality job training and employment assistance for job seekers aged 55 and older who are income eligible.

Region IV Area Agency on Aging sponsors SCSEP in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties, providing for the support and on-the-job training placement of individuals 55 years of age and older. Participants receive on the job training skills while working, allowing them to be more competitive in their search for un-subsidized employment. For more information on the employment program, or to apply for participation, call (269) 983-7058 or complete the contact form below.

Help with technology

The Campus for Creative Aging provides education and access to computer technology and the Internet for people ages 50 and up. If you are looking for some help to learn new or enhance existing computer skills, you have found the right place. View classes and information on the Campus for Creative Aging website.

Welcome! Come on in, make yourself at home and learn a new skill among friends.

One of the great things about Computer Learning Center is the dedication of our volunteers. Classes are taught by folks of all ages who are committed to helping older adults learn new skills in a fun, no pressure atmosphere. Check out the course information below or call Computer Learning Center at (269) 983-7058 to learn more.
