Wage: $17.00 – $19.00/ hour

POSITION SUMMARY: A vital member of the Volunteer & Senior Engagement (VSE) team, this role is responsible for providing person-centered administrative support that ensures volunteer and program operational success. Provides intake, initial and annual eligibility screenings, and orientation for volunteers. Assists VSE participants with intake for and access of VSE services. Works closely with the VSE Manager and Coordinators aiding in program operations by completing assigned tasks and projects including, but not limited to, volunteer appreciation and ongoing training activities, collecting and compiling program data into report formats efficiently and with excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides intake, initial and annual eligibility screenings, and orientation for volunteers.
- Helps identify and resolve barriers to volunteersā and participantsā optimal utilization of program services.
- Assists VSE Coordinators in organization, preparation, and execution of in-service trainings and volunteer appreciation activities.
- Assists with collection and maintenance of required documentation including volunteer and host site files and program records in internal and external databases.
- Participates in training and professional development to ensure excellence in customer service and program delivery.
- Assists in compiling program data into reports.
- Supports and maintains service line operations, compliance, records and reports by following policies and procedures.
- Documents in appropriate software system(s) and maintains current, accurate, and HIPAA compliant files and program records including document scanning and maintenance of electronic volunteer and participant files.
- Actively participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Assists as needed with other assignments and projects that optimize implementation and development of service line operations and delivery.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No supervisory responsibilities of employees.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or high school diploma/GED certificate and experience equivalent to two years of college. Experience in administrative support and/or human services preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple tasks independently and as a team member, are essential.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to accurately define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondences and memos. Ability to communicate instruction and guidance to customers served. Ability to write basic correspondence. Must have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and ability to write basic correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to listen effectively and work well with people on a personal level. Good judgement must be used as well as an ability to deal with confidential issues.

The employee frequently operates a computer, using other tools and controls, and positioning oneself to operate computer and other office equipment. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, and then occasionally move about inside the office to access workstation, office equipment, and file storage areas, etc. The employee must be able to travel in all kinds of weather.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may need to regularly move up to 10 pounds and frequently move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities for this job may include close vision, depth perception, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
