Join a Dementia Minds Group Today!

Are you someone who is living with dementia or a mild cognitive impairment? Then a Dementia Minds group may be the connection and opportunity that is perfect for YOU.

What is a Dementia Minds Group?

Dementia Minds are small groups (usually 8) of people who are living with dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Groups meet on a regular basis, weekly or bi-weekly, as decided by the group and provide members with a community to share experiences and life enriching support and connection.

Groups meet virtually using Zoom to connect.

Why Join a Dementia Minds Group?

  • Share experiences of living with dementia with others who understand and can share too
  • Share strategies that support living well with dementia with other group members
  • Develop connections and friendships
  • Be a lifelong learner, learning new things with and from group members
  • Create resources, presentations and more for sharing with other individuals and families
  • Participate in opportunities to share presentations about what it is like to live and thrive with Dementia. Sharing with heath care professionals, researchers, families, care partners, policy makers and community members.

How to Join a Dementia Minds Group?

The Region IV Area Agency on Aging has partnered with the National Council of Dementia Minds to host local Dementia Minds Groups in SW Michigan.
